How Can I Become the Member of IBHNLP?
The Indian Board of Hypnosis & Neuro-Linguistic Programming, the highly recognised & renowned NLP Training & Research Institute in India has set the following minimum requirements for NLP Practitioner, NLP Master and NLP Trainer Certification. If you are seeking membership of the IBHNLP, you must obtain certain information, including a syllabus from your trainers, if they are unknown to the IBHNLP. We will utilize the syllabus to ensure the criteria outlined below was taught in your training over no less than the minimum amount of time specified in each NLP Certification level.
These standards were created based on much research of various NLP courses and similar NLP Associations throughout the world. We feel a minimum training standard is applicable due to the numerous courses available and the potential for lowering of NLP training standards.
The following information contains the minimum training standards required for membership in the IBHNLP:
Membership Discretion Clause
Only the Board of Directors & Master Trainer Mranal Gupta holds the full and final right to:
- Grant membership
- Include or remove names from the official website or public listings
- Authorize representation of the institution’s name or credentials
The duration of the NLP Practitioner Certification training is to be carried out over a minimum of 80 hours of which 40 must be completed over a minimum of 6 days face-to-face training and the additional hours can be made up by pre-course, in-course and post-course study in the basic skills of NLP patterns led by a Certified Trainer of NLP from a recognized trainer. Where post-course study is part of the course, Certification cannot be awarded until all post-course study is complete. A demonstration of the ability to identify the following basic skills, techniques, patterns and concepts of NLP and to utilize them competently with self and others:

NLP Master Certification:
The duration of the NLP Practitioner Certification training is to be carried out over a minimum of 90 hours of which 64 must be completed over a minimum of 9 days face-to-face training and the additional hours can be made up by pre-course, in-course and post-course study in the advanced skills of NLP patterns led by a Certified Trainer of NLP from a recognized trainer. Where post-course study is part of the course, Certification cannot be awarded until all post-course study is complete. A demonstration of the ability to identify the following basic skills, techniques, patterns and concepts of NLP and to utilize them competently with self and others:
- Integration, mastery & elegance of NLP Practitioner Skills
- Ability to manage one's own state
- Ability to do change work with self and others
- Precision and resourcefulness through all representational systems
- Ability to track logical levels
- Ability to separate process from content about the process
- Ability to establish and maintain rapport
- Modelling - elicitation, replication, utilization & transfer
- The conscious and unconscious embodiment of NLP Presuppositions
- Sleight of Mouth patterns
- Change and install strategies
- Multi-Level communication
- Meta Programs - elicitation, calibration, utilization, change & flexibility
- Values - elicitation, calibration, utilization & change
- Advanced Sub-modality work
- Advanced Timeline work
- Advanced Milton Model
The duration of the NLP Practitioner Certification training is to be carried out over a minimum of 80 hours of which 40 must be completed over a minimum of 5 days of face-to-face training and the additional hours can be made up by pre-course, in-course and post-course study, led by a Certified Trainer of NLP from a recognized trainer. Where the post-course study is part of the course, Certification cannot be awarded until all post-course study is complete. A demonstration of conscious and unconscious competence in all NLP Practitioner and Master Practitioner skills both overtly and covertly. And a demonstration of the following NLP Trainer Specific skills:
- Pacing and Leading
- Design of Presentations
- Delivery of Presentations using NLP skills
- Building and maintaining Group Rapport
- Ability to answer questions
- Utilization of spatial anchoring
- Design and execution of evaluation methods
- Design and execution of teaching exercises to provide covert and overt learning
- Use of deep and shallow metaphors as a teaching aid
- Demonstration of NLP processes and techniques while training
- Demonstration of personal artistry to integrate the skills into one's own behaviour

To protect our reputation and uphold standards, we are clearly definng the conditions under which a practitioner qualifies to be listed on our website after training.
Conditions for Listing NLP Practitioners on the Website (Post-Training Membership)
Exclusively granted by the Board of Directors & Master Trainer Mranal Gupta upon fulfilling the following criteria:
1. Successful Completion of Training & Certification
Must have completed the entire NLP Practitioner or Master Practitioner Training with IBHNLP.
Certification will be awarded only after:
- Required attendance (e.g., 90% or more).
- Completion of all assignments and demonstrations.
- Positive final evaluation by the Master Trainer Mranal Gupta.
2. Post-Training Practical Work Submission
Practitioner must submit:
2-3 documented NLP practice sessions (can be peer or client-based)
Short write-up or reflection for each session
This proves practical application and confidence in using NLP tools.
3. Documented Practice for Assesmement .
A minimum of 2 recorded Video of coaching and hypnosis sessions and verifiable practice/coaching hours post-training (e.g., 20–30 hours) may be required for updating/ listing the profle in member section.
Evidence to be submitted upon request for the Assesment / Evaluation.
4. Signed Code of Ethics & Conduct
Practitioner must sign a formal Code of Ethics Agreement, promising:
- Responsible use of NLP
- No false claims
- Respectful behavior in personal branding
5. Video Testimonial or Case Study Submission
A short video testimonial (1–3 min) about their experience with your NLP training.
OR a written client success story or case study using NLP tools.
6. Professional Profile Submission
Practitioner must submit:
- A professional photo.
- Address proof ( Adhaar Card).
- Short bio or intro paragraph (based on a template provided).
- Optional: contact email or social handles (Optional).
Only after verification, this will be published on our website.
7. Commitment to Ongoing Growth
Member agrees to:
- Stay updated with the latest ethical and professional guidelines from the institute.
- Be open to feedback or review from the Master Trainer, if needed.
8. Membership Agreement
A short agreement form stating:
Website listing is a privilege, not a right.
Listing can be revoked at any time by the Board of Directors /Master Trainer for unethical behavior or violation of terms without any prior Notice.
