What is the difference between hypnosis & NLP?
Hypnosis is the direct way to seed suggestion into the subconscious mind of the client, whereas NLP is an indirect way of doing the same. NLP is way more subtle than the Hypnosis. In NLP, we use Conversational Hypnosis. The client or the listener doesn't know that Hypnosis is being used on him or her. That's why NLP is sometimes called as manipulative.
Learning Direct Hypnosis is very important before you learn NLP Skills because Hypnosis creates a ground to learn advanced skills of NLP like rapport building, sensory acuity, modelling etc. In the same way, one should also remember that Hypnosis & Hypnotherapy are important, but not very essential to learn NLP Practitioner or NLP Master. Still, IBHNLP - Indian Board of Hypnosis & Neuro-Linguistic Programming provides FREE Basic Training of Hypnosis & Hypnotherapy as much required in all its NLP courses.
NLP is one step ahead of Hypnosis. NLP also produces faster results than Hypnosis. NLP solves many problems related to brain & human emotions instantly, for which Hypnosis takes at least three to four sessions.
