Nisha Vishnoi – Psychologist, Education Counsellor, and Special Educator,
Human Beings start their ‘Learning Journey’ from the moment they are born. And, ‘Learning is a Cradle to Grave’ journey. As a person with an inquisitive and knowledge-seeking mindset, I am no exception, I love learning -- actively, energetically want to gain knowledge about the new and beneficial concepts, thoughts.
NLP was one such ‘Fresh Breath of Oxygen’ for my inquisitive, knowledge-seeking mind. And, after I joined IBHNLP - The Indian Board of Hypnosis & Neuro-Linguistic Programming – under the tutelage of Sandip sir and Satish sir, I have learned to ‘polish and sharpen’ my existing skills.
Really appreciative thanks to Sandip sir for being there, whenever we needed any clarification for our doubts and questions.
NLP Principles believe in sharing. As an NLP Practitioner, I have shared my knowledge with other people, who need positive and practical energy. An energy that will make them confident to believe in the age-old adage of ‘Life is Beautiful’.
As a trained and professional practitioner of the subject of Psychology, I have to help people overcome their negative attitude, action, thoughts, and behavior and then inculcate positive attitude – behavior and nature in the affected persons.
I deal with affected persons spread across different strata of society, it is varied due to a wide range of age group, gender, and demographics like
- Adolescents,
- Young Adults
- Adults
Many of the affected persons try to take a shortcut in the form of various ‘negative addictions’ like alcohol, drugs, narcotics, psychotropic substance abuse to get out of negative perception about themselves or their environment and surroundings.
They can also and do suffer from various psychological ailments with physical implications like
- Anxiety
- Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) & ADHD
- Obsession Compulsion Disorder (OCD)
- Communication Issues
- Panic
- Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
- Phobias
- Depression
- Stress
- Schizophrenia
To help them I already relied on a scientific and structured approach.
Now, NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming), which according to me is again a type of counseling, will help me effectively understand, identify and counsel through the processes of
- Visual Auditory Kinesthetic (VAK)
- Rapport
- Swish Pattern
- Anchoring.
NLP relies on a host of sensory experiences that has a direct connection with our psyche, like Auditory, Olfactory, Visual and Tactile.
Hence, my use of NLP will help the affected persons better understand self-attitude/ behavior and also their environment, especially the people around them.
Moreover, my work with children with special education needs will also get benefitted through my counseling coupled with the principles of NLP. The joint use will definitely help the learners and trainees ‘Focus and Approach’ with ‘The Right Set of Mind’.
Some of the people with whom I have shared my knowledge and skills are addicts undergoing rehabilitation programs.
As a Counsellor and Psychologist, I have used the various principles of NLP like; Wheel of Life Identify Test (WLIT), SWISH, Anchoring, Association/Disassociation, and many more techniques, which I use in my profession to the addicted persons. After that, I am getting more positive outcomes and responses from persons who want to de – addict themselves from abuses of Alcohol, Narcotics, Psycho cases, and Drugs.
NLP Principles can be equally adopted and used in individual as well as group sessions.
Below are some images from the Rehabilitation Centre where NLP use has really yielded positive outcomes.
I also take this opportunity to sincerely ‘Thank’ All Concerned.
With Warm Regards
Nisha Vishnoi
