MBNLP - A New Dawn in the Field of Neuro-Linguistic Programming
As a creator of Mindfulness-Based Neuro-Linguistic Programming (MBNLP), I would like to tell you that MBNLP, i.e. Mindfulness-based Neuro-Linguistic Programming is a new dawn in the field of Neuro-Linguistic Programming. Years of research has laid the foundation of MBNLP! This new approach broke down the old perspective towards looking at NLP and provided a solid ground for NLP tools and techniques for human transformation. Mindfulness-based Neuro-Linguistic Programing (MBNLP) is an approach to personal change that uses neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) methods in collaboration with mindfulness meditative practices.
About MBNLPTM
Before understanding the concept of Mindfulness-Based Neuro-Linguistic Programming (MBNLP), we need to understand NLP & Mindfulness.
What is NLP?
N – Neurology - The mind and how we think.
L – Linguistics - How do we use language and how it affects us?
P – Programming - How do we sequence our actions to achieve our goals?
What is Mindfulness?
“Mindfulness is the basic human ability to be fully present, aware of where we are and what we’re doing, and not overly reactive or overwhelmed by what’s going on around us.”
What is Mindfulness-Based Neuro-Linguistic Programming (MBNLP)?
“Mindfulness-based Neuro-Linguistic Programming (MBNLP) is an approach to personal transformation that uses neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) tools or techniques in collaboration with mindfulness meditative processes.”
The combined principles of mindfulness and NLP in MBNLP can effectively teach us how to prevent negative thoughts or emotions from triggering a deeper negative state or any harmful behaviours. MBNLP principles and practices taught during MBNLP workshop help clients to change their relationship with these potential triggers so that they can experience negative thoughts without letting them majorly influence their emotions and behaviours. It helps them alter their thought processes so that they do not immediately have a negative emotional response to potentially triggering situations. MBNLP processes also help practitioners to realise their dreams without losing the enjoyment of the present moment.

Introduction to the Reflective Thinking Model
Reflective Thinking Model®:
Pursuing 'coaching' as a career is a noble profession, but it comes with a huge responsibility. A client has many expectations from the coach. A coach must put in every effort to meet the client's life-changing beliefs, whilst helping the client realise his responsibility and creating a life-transforming perspective in him.
A coach helps the client to overcome the difficulties he is currently facing and achieve a golden future by working on the present situation. To fulfil the obligation, a coach must have result-oriented tools and techniques. One of the most effective tools for producing better results in life coaching is the Reflective Thinking Model, a tool that will make your coaching highly effective, goal-focused and result-oriented. The model provides an excellent framework to yield a positive outcome during coaching sessions.
If you are a leader, you must be aware that, as the head, you need to ensure the people working along with you are productive in work, creative in their tasks, and are able to establish healthy relations among themselves. To accomplish this, you need not only have to be a good leader but also a good coach. You have to support the encourage, guide and inspire them to perform better.
Albeit you are not a coach or a leader, the reflective thinking model enables you to transform your personal and professional life. It helps to remove the negative thoughts and simultaneously infuse positivity. It aids in developing a strategic action plan to achieve your dreams. In short, it helps you get in control of your thoughts and life.

5 Fundamentals of Breaking a Bad Habit and Build Good Ones
The Habit Framework - Part 1
Psychologists state that more than forty percent of our actions are the outcome of our habits. Many times, we do feel that we have taken conscious decisions, but in reality, it’s quite opposite. Usually, we make a decision or take an action following our habit, which is later followed by logical thoughts (proving those decisions or actions as correct ones). In a nutshell, our habits drive our lives, happy or gloomy!
Most of the times our habits get deeply rooted in our minds, that we become oblivious about those habitual patterns and then these habits start dictating our lives. These habits, positive or negative, intensify every passing day, becoming involuntary actions. We begin to operate on an auto-pilot mode, sometimes working contrary to our common sense! Therefore, it is very crucial to ensure that our habits make our lives full of joy, success, and solutions.
So do you want to work on your habits?
In this series of blogs, we will deliberate upon habits, learn some great tools that will help us control and alter our habits. Before learning the techniques, we need to understand 'The Habit Framework' theory, and do some experiments on ourselves accordingly, which would assist us in getting rid of harmful practices and foster positive habits in our life.

Five parts of 'The Habit Framework' are,
1. Habit Analysis
2. Describe the hidden pattern of the habit
3. Find Triggers
4. Search for Gains
5. Make an Action Plan
Before changing our habits, we need to understand the mechanism of our habits, this 'The Habit Framework' will be useful in this process. When we would apply this habit framework to the habits we want to change, we would understand the brain process behind those habits. We would also understand how habits are framed in our life, what is the process of habit formation, how to take control of that process and get rid of negative habits & inculcate the constructive habits.
Let us look at an example to understand every part of 'The Habit Framework' ...
Sam is a software engineer working in a multinational company. A few days ago, he went to a doctor who instructed him to control the consumption of sugar, as he was diagnosed with diabetic symptoms. Hence, he decided to discontinue his afternoon tea. But sadly, he could not keep up with this decision, even after several attempts.
Every day around 04:00 pm, he accompanies his colleagues to the canteen, and while gossiping with them, he consumes a cup of tea. While taking sips of tea, he feels good, but later as he starts working again, he feels guilty. He is aware that leaving tea is essential, but he fails every day. Each day he decides to quit drinking tea from the next day and fells on his face. Now he is feeling that with every passing day, his habit of drinking tea becoming stronger.
Now, Ramesh wants to give up this habit and if want to help him, we need to find the hidden structure behind it. Let us examine the five parts of 'The Habit Framework' to find the mechanism,
1. Habit Analysis
2. Describe the pattern
3. Find Triggers
4. Search for Gains
5. Action Plan
Please think about these questions, we would discuss each aspect of 'The Habit Framework' in the next blog.
