How to develop Leadership?

Good News!

Recently, NLP Master Trainer & Executive Leader Coach Sandip Shirsat has extensively written content on Leadership Development. Below given are the links of those articles. I hope you would enjoy them as well.

In IBHNLP’s Leadership Conclave, the frequently asked question is:

Do Leaders speak differently from the rest of us? And if they do, can we learn to talk like a ‘Leader’?

The popular question I have always heard people ask is whether Leadership is learned or developed. Are Leaders born or made? The answer is “both.” Some people because of their environment that they have been brought up and their parents, school etc. have developed the personality that creates Leaders. Others have the yearning to become Leaders and therefore get into personally developing themselves and get there anyway. The difference is the time that it takes and how effective they are as Leaders.

So, for this article, the question I want to answer is, do Leaders speak differently from the rest of us and if they do can one learn ‘Leader speak”? Before I answer that, you need to understand that we experience life through our five senses. They then get converted into memory. To do that we need to judge and give meaning to events, so we can know what they are and what they mean. When we do that, we store our version of the experience that has been filtered through our values and beliefs. In other words, things that are high on a value system we think are good and what is lower down we think is bad.

All our thoughts and feelings, our ideas, our values, and beliefs are stored within us. All our ideas and how we see the world come from what we believe inside of us about ourselves and the world. When someone speaks, if we knew how to listen, we could hear how they feel about themselves, what they value and what they believe about life. Within the language, there are hidden words and meanings to what people want to say. We have not been taught to consciously understand the unconscious language that we use to express our feelings and thoughts.

Good leaders have a lot of good attributes like being charismatic, persuasive, influential, assertive, visionary, having high integrity, respect for themselves and others etc. What makes a good Leader is a way one feels about themselves, and mainly it is down to passion. When people are passionate about what they do and have a high level of belief about themselves and what they are talking about. As a result, they become charismatic and influential. What we hear in those is ‘Leadership Language, ’ which is a word for a high level of passion and belief.

When people feel uncertain and not good enough inside themselves, they can’t lead. They don’t feel valuable enough to contribute ideas; they are too scared to step out of line and risk being wrong. Sadly, on some level, most people will recognize this within them, and therefore they don’t want to become Leaders in the first place....as they might get found out.

Leaders will see the world and think about how they can make it a better place and have the confidence to step out of line and create a better environment for themselves and others. They will look at something and ask themselves how can this be better how can I make this more efficient.

They are risk-takers because they will try something that hasn’t been tried before and they can do because of their high level of self-belief. They try it because they are passionate, and they believe in themselves, and the resources that they have two make it happen.

So, there is no magical leadership language. What we hear when Leaders speak is how they feel about themselves. They are people that are passionate and believe in themselves, are confident about what they can do and can influence in a charismatic way that will move the world, and the world will follow.

Meta Model & Milton Model, which are the basis of NLP, particularly focus on the use of language. Influential Leaders, knowingly or unknowingly, are following these NLP Patterns. Now the important question is: can we model these patterns? As an NLP Practitioner, one gets training in developing those subtleties.

Indian Board of Hypnosis & Neuro-Linguistic Programming provides the Best NLP Training in Hindi. People nowadays prefer to learn NLP in Hindi rather than English, because META MODEL & MILTON MODEL, which are considered as the backbone of NLP, are taught in Hindi in IBHNLP’s course. These language patterns in English are not of much help if you learn them in English. IBHNLP is the only institute, which has rigorously taken so many efforts to do that.

NLP in Hindi is becoming more popular & effective rather than NLP in English. Indian Board of Hypnosis & Neuro-Linguistic Programming arranges all their NLP Training programs in English as well as in Hindi, so attendees could get most out of it.

Before you choose any institute, consider all these points carefully, because, after the completion of NLP Practitioner, real skill starts & if those skills would be difficult to practice in day to day life, what’s the use of it. Do you really want to become an influential leader through the use of language? After all, it’s Your Decision.
